The mill
Since the 16th century this water mill exists and it is shill working today. The mill make use of water of the near river Magra, a small stream. The water gives the mill free energy it makes the stones turn around whit out the need of oil or electricity. For five centuries it satisfies the requirement of the population in the Filattiera plain of flour. The mill shill work s perfect and remains going so, besides other activities (agriturismo) it is a very old trade: making flour and chestnutmeal just like it was don centuries. |
